A deep, penetrating, and sorrowful joy
A regretful exploration

Tantalizing, delicious, and exhilarating mistakes

A whim, an earthquake
A unending cerebral labyrinth
And a crippling realization
When I thought I was what you wanted

I thought I was what I wanted, too.

Crosses your sweet, perfect lips

Take your foot from my neck

And allow me one last breath–

To defend, define, dismantle myself

As you seem low on ammunition

And after all, I live to serve
