Just A Touch
The warmth of human touch
A contact most basic;
Arms embrace
Lips touch
Fingers interlace
A comfort to the soul
It’s all I used to know;
Gone from here
Forgotten softness
Withheld tears
And a bitter question, begging:
Is it possible to find again?
Sweet, Sweet Nothing
Please,
Before another word
Crosses your sweet, perfect lips
Take your foot from my neck
And allow me one last breath–
To defend, define, dismantle myself
As you seem low on ammunition
And after all, I live to serve
Little Wildfire
Shine bright
My Live wire
Little Wildfire
As below she burns alone
Reaching out
Sharing the glow
Leave her
Warmth draws you near
But get too close
She’ll burn you to the ground
I’ll be Here
Wrapped up in your awareness
A speck on your horizon
I’m blinded by your light
Astride a horse as high as your standards
No one will do
But her
So I suppose
Until that day
I’ll be here
Where I started
Another wrong turn
Vicious circle
Sickness of familiarity
Back to where I started.
A conversation, guarded
Words balanced on the edge
Trigger happy
Love…sick
Lovesick.
Regretted exchange
Body Heated
Back to where I started.
Don’t worry my little star
It’s of my own doing
I may be lost
But I’ve been here before.
